As a regional education agency, the Monroe County Intermediate School District provides services and resources to the students, parents, staff and community members of the nine local public school districts, one charter school, and 16 non-public schools throughout Monroe County. Student enrichment programs, services to special student populations, professional development for educators, and educational technology are all important part of the M.C.I.S.D.’s mission in the region. Classroom and support services for students with disabilities from birth to age 26 are hallmarks of the organization’s work. The M.C.I.S.D. models educational excellence on every level as an inspiration for its constituent districts.
