The Oceana Intermediate School District is a rural ISD serving three local K-12 school districts representing over 3,700 students. The west edge of the district is on Lake Michigan running from Pentwater to the north to Muskegon County to the south. The majority of the residents in Oceana County work outside of the county or on farms in the county. Most businesses are recreation or food processing oriented. The beautiful Silver Lake sand dunes and picturesque beaches can be found here. The ISD is situated in Hart which is nestled on all sides by rolling, fruit bearing orchards and country views.
