Lewis Cass ISD provides services to over 7500 K-12 students in four local districts in Cass County. Special education services to Cass County students include classroom programs for students ages 0 to 26, diagnostic evaluations, transition and monitoring. The Instructional Services division hosts the Program for Curriculum Leadership with an emphasis on Increasing Student Achievement as well as the county wide student programs such as writers day. Programs provided by Career Technical Education include the Career Academies program in partnership with Southwestern Michigan College, young entrepreneurs day and career pathways days. Students serviced by Lewis Cass ISD travel more than 700,000 miles per year. The Board of Education is dedicated to the concept that “all students can learn” as their top priority.
